Dear Friends, We were sad to announce that our friend and colleague the Reverend Doctor Roy Long died on the 2nd of October 2024. Roy was a valued member and minister of the Lutheran Church in Great Britain and he contributed greatly in a variety of ways to the life and ministry of the Church. He was the first English pastor of the LCiGB and he wrote extensively about the history of Lutherans and Lutheranism in England. He even learnt to speak Icelandic and translated the Ice
