Liverpool (Nordic)

The LCiGB Synod took place in Liverpool on Saturday, 25 April. The focus was safeguarding, under the theme “Safe to Serve, Called to Care.” A short training session and discussion on recent LCiGB guidance were led by the LCiGB Dean, Laura Haupt. It was wonderful to receive updates from parishes across the country and to welcome new representatives to the Synod.

On December 7 Bishop Paulina visited Liverpool International Nordic Community with Dean Laura and Pastor Joseph. It was wonderful to be able to meet people from the congregation and to be able to talk about the future with the parish council.

6-8 October our pastors had a Ministerium meeting and Retreat at Focolare Centre for Unity in Welwyn Garden City. Fr Thomas Seville form the Community of the Resurrection in Mirfield talked about the psalms and the use of the psalter at church services.
