LCiGB DOCUMENTATION

Synod

Synod (from the Latin synodus and the Greek sunodos, meaning “meeting” or “assembly”) is the general meeting of the Members of the church, who meet each year to make decisions together about the life of the church. Included in Synod is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the charity and company, which deals with the election of trustees and issues of governance, and the Church Session, which looks at the spiritual and practical life of the church as it is lived out day to day by those in our Member Congregations.
