London Chinese Lutheran Church Anniversary with Worship and Fellowship

Some congregations have a tradition to celebrate their anniversaries, at London Chinese Lutheran Church (LCLC) it’s a big celebration every year.

In Council of Lutheran Churches’ newsletter, LCLC Minister and Ordinand at the Lutheran Church in Great Britain, Wilkins Tang, shared the highlights of LCLC’s 33rd anniversary celebration on June 18, “Today at LCLC, we celebrated our 33rd anniversary. To celebrate this special day, a church choir sang a beautiful hymn to praise God and have potluck fellowship after service. Thank God for blessing our church in the past 33 years, giving us some faithful Pastors, brothers and sisters. Over 33 years, we saw God abundant supplies, no matter in what situation we are, going well or not, God is always with us and shine upon our church. In the sermons, the preacher using Matthew 9:35-10:8 to challenges the congregation, beside thanksgiving, what else can we do for Jesus? Did we see what Jesus see? Did we do what Jesus sent his disciples to do? In the prayer, the speaker prayed for LCLC and pray that the Holy Spirit shows us what can we do for Jesus. Potluck is serviced after the worship, the foods were prepared by brothers and sisters. The venue is full of food and full of laugh, we all enjoy the table fellowship. Thank God, today is a happy day!”
