About Us
We are Trinity Lutheran Church, located in the heart of Nottingham. As the home church of Paulina Hlawiczka-Trotman, the current Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Great Britain (LCiGB), we hold a significant role within our community and the broader Lutheran denomination. Our church is dedicated to fostering faith, community, and service, and we actively participate in the initiatives and mission of the LCiGB to spread the message of hope and love through Christ. We invite everyone to join us in our worship services and community events, as we strive to support and uplift one another in our spiritual journeys.

Meet the Pastor
Paulina Hławiczka-Trotman
Paulina Hławiczka-Trotman comes from Southern Poland Beskids Mountains. She graduated from the Faculty of Theology and Ethics at the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw with a thesis on the hope for universal salvation in the literature of Professor Wacław Hryniewicz, under the supervision of Professor Marek Jerzy Uglorz. At the same time, she graduated from opera singing and acting in the class of Professor Ewelina Hańska. After graduation, she worked for several years in the Military Chaplaincy within the Ministry of National Defence, and then for the Polish Ecumenical Council. Ordained in London to serve in the Lutheran Church in Great Britain as pastor-in-charge, she took over the parishes Trinity Leicester-Nottingham in 2014, St Paul’s Corby in 2015, and Christ the King London in 2021, where she serves to this day. She is one of the LCiGB Trustees since 2015 (Consistory Counsellor) and co-leader of Racial Justice Core Group, as well as a university chaplain at the University of Nottingham. Pastors in the Lutheran Church in Great Britain must be bi-professional in order to support themselves financially. She combines her passions and continues to sing actively in the country and beyond. She is married to a church minister and Racial Justice specialist from the Methodist Church of Britain. She grows papyrus, loves theatre, opera, long walks and swimming.
