Her whole life has been spent, thus far, moving back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean with her British father and American mother. She lived in the United Kingdom during her early childhood before moving to the United States, where she grew up and completed her education. She studied Psychology for her undergraduate degree and worked as a residential counsellor for several years afterward. In 2010, she entered the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary) and graduated in 2014 with honours in preaching.
