Virtual Pentecost Service

On the Day of Pentecost the Lutheran Church in Great Britain comes together virtually and invites everyone along to commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit, bringing God’s presence to all people.

“The story of the first Pentecost is an important story for the Christian church. The Spirit opened a new horizon for the Jesus Movement. The Gospel has no geographical or cultural limitations. It is universal. It is global. – The Lutheran Church in Great Britain is in itself a reminder of this fact with members from “all over” the world. We will demonstrate this Pentecostal reality on Sunday when we will include clergy and members from our local congregations coming “virtually” together. Some of us are even stuck in various countries outside GB, like USA, Latvia and Norway. But modern technology is opening for this kind of global Pentecostal wonder,” says Bishop Tor B Jørgensen.
